The Entrepreneurs Council ‘Haags Veen’ founded

3rd February 2023

After months of preparation, the Entrepreneurs Council Haags Veen was festively founded on January 31! Entrepreneurs in The Hague are taking up the gauntlet together with the mayor, alderman for Economy and interest groups from the business community.

At the intersection of the Transvaal and Schilderswijk districts, lies the so-called ‘Centre area Haagse Veen’, which, in addition to the Haagse Markt and the business park Uitenhagestraat, also includes the shopping streets Paul Krugerlaan, Hobbemastraat/Hobbemaplein, Kempstraat, vd. Vennestraat and Hoefkade.

The Haagse Veen entrepreneurs’ council is a slim network of entrepreneurs that acts as representative for entrepreneurs in the area. Based on the wishes and needs of the entrepreneurs, the Haags Veen entrepreneurs’ council will examine issues and opportunities that directly affect strengthening the entrepreneurial climate.

The Haags Veen entrepreneurial council is the partner of the municipality and makes proposals on themes such as (large-scale) refurbishment plans, strengthening the level of commercial facilities, improving the image of the area, mobility, accessibility and parking. The interest groups for the business community in The Hague act as sparring partners.

From the Economic Board, Kaushilya Budhu Lall in collaboration with Atalay Celenk of the Municipality of The Hague contributed to the establishment.
