Energy Transition and Employment aims to train people and facilitate their entry into growth sectors of The Hague’s economy. In view of the task of making both the existing and new housing stock more sustainable, the demand for people with skills in engineering, sustainability and clean energy will increase in the coming years. To help achieve this, an Energy Transition covenant involving housing corporations, the business community, educational institutions and regional and local authorities has been established. The EBTH wants to further develop this covenant by creating an action plan that will invest ownership of the agreement in various organisations and assign responsibility for administering its implementation.
