Elisabeth Minnemann joins as a member of the Economic Board The Hague. Since August 2020, she has been chair of the Executive Board of The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
“In the economic development of the region of The Hague, knowledge and innovative power play an important role. I bring the broad regional and also international knowledge network of The Hague University of Applied Sciences to the Economic Board. Our students are the employees and entrepreneurs of the future.
At The Hague University of Applied Sciences, we shape our education and practice-oriented research with our students and staff in close collaboration with the professional field: the companies, organizations and governments in the region. In this way, we not only create a challenging learning environment, but also give our graduates the right knowledge and skills to get started right away. The skills they develop are therefore in line with the rapidly changing society. Co-creation with the business community and social partners is indispensable, especially in view of the increasing staff shortages in the region. But also professionals who are already working can retrain and further train with us to develop themselves.”
Previously, Elisabeth was chairman of the board of Breda University of Applied Sciences, director International Program at the municipality of The Hague and director of the Institute for Business Administration at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. She started her career as an associate professor and holds a PhD from the University of Heidelberg. Elisabeth has worked as an organizational consultant in the Netherlands and abroad. She is committed to social impact, including as a board member of the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation.
